We would like to introduce you to our varied work environments, in which every employee can freely choose his/her work area for each task.
In addition to our standard workplaces, we have created many areas for meetings and collaborative discussions. These include open areas such as pantries and lounges, as well as presentation areas.
We have created a working environment which offers a variety of work
Furnishing to promote and improve flexibility and innovation capacity. Each employee decides where he/she wants to work. Whether you want to work on a lounge sofa, make conference calls from a think tank, or have meetings in the pantry, we believe that work doesn’t necessarily have to take place in a fixed location.
Everyone decides for themselves where they can work best. This is also supported by the management and supervisors and therefore it is one of the core elements of our new ‘Ways of Working’ philosophy. The flexibility and opportunity to choose independently the place to work, improves our commitment and our efficiency on the job.
Miles is not only an employer, we care about the activities and additional services during and after working hours. As a result, we offer yoga classes, a common jogging trip or relaxing time during a massage on special days. Employees can be active after work as well due to great memberships at Fitness First with a discount.
Communication is one of the most important parts at Miles. Whether it’s continuous feedback talks with the supervisor for being constantly up to date referring to one’s work and for making agreements about goals, wishes and career opportunities. A different but great way of communication is given by the open space office or our in-house online chat where it’s easy to make fast conversations and clarify several things. The finishing touch includes language courses in small groups where it’s possible to learn, refresh or extend a language. We help our employees to grow in different ways!
Finally the Miles canteen should be mentioned, where they serve breakfast croissants, individual sandwiches, coffee and diverse beverages. For lunch, there is always a salad bar available and simultaneous every day changing dishes. In spring, summer or autumn the employees can sit outside and enjoy the view from a beautiful pond. Also, there is easy transport with a taxi from the metro station Norderstedt to the front entrance.
Every year our logistic department handles about 12,000 containers by sea, rail, air or truck. Our holistic logistic service incl. Documentation and customs clearance enables on-time deliveries.
About 70 million items are moved via our own Norderstedt and Den Bosch (Netherlands) distribution centers. Long-term partnerships and networks with logistics service providers optimize efficiency in terms of cost, speed and security.
The dedicated team of 25 fashion and graphic designers creates up to 500 collections each year for our customers. The basis for this are the current fashion trends from the major fashion capitals of New York, London, Milan and Paris.
In combination with the customer’s wishes, trends are being identified and implemented by our design team and in-house design studio in line with the market. From the development of cuts and prints to packaging and labelling – our design team is carefully looking after each and every step.
